Eink Mode 2.1 is here
Effortlessly convert Japanese web pages to furigana, making learning Japanese easier!
In this update, we've added a feature that automatically converts Japanese web pages to furigana. For those not familiar with the pronunciation of kanji characters, this eliminates the need to look up how to pronounce them correctly. This feature is extremely convenient for those learning Japanese.
How can you enable this feature? You can do it in one of two ways:
-
Option 1: When the text on the web page is in Japanese, go to the "Display Mode"
section in the settings and enable the automatic conversion feature as shown in the
image below:
Setting to enable automatic conversion to furigana on the settings page - Option 2: On a Japanese webpage, directly use the default keyboard shortcut (default key 'r') to enable the automatic conversion feature.
Traditional Chinese with Bopomofo to help elementary students absorb knowledge online more easily!
In this update, we've also introduced a "Bopomofo Cucumber Font" in the traditional Chinese font section for you to download. For elementary school students who are still learning to recognize characters, this font can help them quickly absorb knowledge from the internet without struggling to read web content due to unfamiliar words.
More traditional Chinese fonts available for everyone to install and choose from
In the last update, we provided the popular "Cucumber Font" for traditional Chinese users. In this update, we're offering more fonts for users to install based on their needs without having to pre-install fonts on their computers. The benefit is that even on e-paper, or when syncing across devices, there won't be issues with missing fonts.
For other fonts that are not provided, users can install them on their computers and use them by adding custom fonts in the settings!
