Founder’s Story

I am a dentist by profession, not a programming engineer.
However, I have always been deeply interested in physics, electrical engineering, and programming, and I have continued to study these fields independently through online learning platforms in my free time after work.

Between 2016 and 2018, I took online courses almost every day using a tablet device and digital stylus, earning multiple certificates.
Spending long hours reading materials, doing calculations, and taking notes at close range gradually caused severe eye strain and pain. At first, I thought it was only temporary fatigue.

One day, countless small black dots appeared in my vision. The ophthalmologist diagnosed multiple retinal tears and warned that without immediate laser treatment, I risked blindness.
In that moment, I was forced to face the reality — I could no longer spend long hours staring at glowing screens.

That was when I discovered E Ink technology.
Unlike traditional LCD displays, E Ink uses no backlight — it reflects ambient light like paper.
This drastically reduced the strain on my eyes, allowing me to study and code comfortably again.

Since then, I have regained both the joy of learning and physical well-being.
E Ink not only protects our eyes but also represents a sustainable future.

Through the E Ink community, I met many others suffering from digital eye strain, floaters, retinal tears, macular degeneration, or glaucoma.
For them, E Ink has become a true lifeline in the digital age.

I believe that transforming the vast knowledge on the internet into formats readable on “paper-like” displays is an essential mission of our time.
The next generation will grow up immersed in online learning —
and that’s why I am devoted to creating digital environments that are safe, sustainable, and gentle on the eyes.

Our eyes are the “windows to the soul,” and children are the “hope of the future.”
With this conviction, I reduced my clinical hours to focus on developing web display modules optimized for E Ink,
with the vision of creating technology that supports safe, sustainable learning — gentle for both people and the planet.
