New Features
Save Your Annotations and Thoughts!
We are excited to announce that in Eink Mode v1.2.0, we have made significant improvements to the drawing and annotation system, allowing you to easily highlight important points and thoughts on web pages. These annotations will be saved in your browser, and when you revisit the same web page, they will be displayed automatically, enabling you to review your previous reading highlights and thoughts with ease.
Currently, these annotations are only saved locally in your browser (on your hard drive), and we plan to provide cloud synchronization in the future, allowing you to sync your annotations across different devices.
Article Directory and Website Navigation Like a Book
To make it easier for users to navigate web content, we have added a book-like article directory feature. When you enter Eink Mode, you can find the "Directory" option in the tools menu, and by clicking it, a structured directory of the web page will be displayed, allowing quick navigation to the parts of interest. Additionally, we have introduced a website navigation feature; when you browse a website in Eink Mode, you can view the structure and main content of the site through the "Website Navigation" option in the tools menu, helping you find the information you need more effectively.
All of these features support gesture operations and keyboard shortcuts, allowing you to use Eink Mode to browse web content more smoothly. For instructions on gesture and shortcut operations, please refer to the user manual in the tools menu.
More Intuitive Hyperlink Opening Method
The new version includes options for when you click a hyperlink; a menu will appear allowing you to choose to open in the current page, in a new tab, or navigate to the previous or next page, giving you control over the operations after clicking on the screen, enhancing browsing flexibility and convenience.
Easier Page Jumping
Now, clicking on the page number on the page will display a page-jump interface, where you can use the on-screen keyboard or the physical keyboard to input the page number and quickly navigate to the specified page, improving browsing efficiency.
Fullscreen Switching Made Easier
A fullscreen toggle button has been added to the toolbar, allowing users to easily enter or exit fullscreen mode, enhancing the browsing experience. Initially, Eink Mode defaults to automatically switch to fullscreen mode, allowing you to focus on web content and enjoy a more immersive reading experience. However, if needed, you can click the button to exit fullscreen mode and return to the normal browsing interface.
Easily Switch Language Interfaces
To allow more users to enjoy the convenience of Eink Mode, we have added a language-switching feature, enabling you to easily switch between different language interfaces. You can find the "Language" option in the tools menu, and by clicking it, a list of available languages will be displayed. After selecting your preferred language, the Eink Mode interface will immediately switch to that language, allowing you to use Eink Mode to browse web content more comfortably.
